WWCC Farrier School Clinic
February 2, 2019
Hosted by Walla Walla Pony Club, Inland Empire Region
Location: Walla Walla, WA at Walla Walla Community College
SCHEDULE: 10:00 AM-3:00PM; lunch approximately 12:30-1:30 (working lunch)
This is a great unmounted event for the winter months! All levels and ages of Pony Clubbers welcome, but keep in mind that a portion of the day will be spent in the classroom discussing C and up material.
COST: This clinic is provided free of charge. Huge thanks to Walla Walla Community College’s Farrier School for donating time, facility, and materials. In order to provide this great clinic at no cost, we are asking for attendees to bring their own sack lunch (we will have a presentation through the lunch break, so please plan on staying on campus).
RSVP with a message here (RSVP helpful for us to set up seating but not necessary- feel free to just show up!)
DIRECTIONS: From HWY 12 (either direction) take “Port of Walla Walla/Airport” exit. Head south from the freeway, turn left at the light (Isaacs Ave/Airport Way intersection). Turn right just past the 3-hole golf course/Walla Walla Community College sign. Take the first left, followed by an immediate left onto Water Center Drive. Follow this road as it winds around buildings. Park anywhere near the Farrier School building or in the parking lot near the Water Center (glass building at the end of the drive).
There will be signs in place directing cars and people.
MATERIALS TO BRING: Please be sure to review the Standards of Proficiency for your next certification BEFORE you come; be aware of the information you need to gain from this clinic and come prepared to ask questions. Please bring a notebook and writing utensils; PC manual; helmet and appropriate footwear (we may be working with horses); questions about farrier care, hooves, shoeing, and hoof/lower leg anatomy.
